What We Do

We shed light on how to handle daily stress.

Here are a few questions we get about our business.

Q:  What exactly do you do?

A: Through interactive and energetic workshops, keynotes, and webinars, we teach individuals the big, scary truth about stress and how chronic stress hinders personal effectiveness and sabotages success and happiness in all areas of life.   Participants learn practical strategies for managing everyday stress so that they can thrive in their various roles.  Our stress management workshops transform the way individuals think about stress and help participants to use stress to their advantage instead of allowing it to threaten professional and personal health and well being.  Results of our workshops include decreased stress, increased productivity, greater cohesion among teams, improved focus, and better organizational morale.

Q: Who do you work with?

A: We’ve worked with Fortune 500 companies, Universities, Non-Profits, Professional Associations, Corporate Women’s Groups, and Small Businesses.  We also work with individuals in select cases.  We’ve worked with C-level executives, Managers, Employees, Front Line Associates, and New Hires.  Check out what others are saying about us.

Q:  Do you have a list of the keynotes and workshops that you do?

A:  You can access a list of featured workshops from the navigation bar of the home page.  Each stress management workshop or keynote is customized to meet the needs of your group.  We work with you to create a program that will best reach the goals you set for your event.

Q:  How long has The Playground Group been around?

A:  Monica Scalf, author, former university professor, and recovering stress-a-holic started TPG in 2010 (about Monica).  She began by teaching stress management workshops and keynoting at events once her first book Live in the Little: 52 Ways to Find the Extra in the Ordinary was published.  She continued researching and writing about practical strategies to achieve success (which according to her is defined as creating meaningful work and life experiences) and developed TPG to deliver this information.   Her specialty is conveying complex concepts in creative, practical, and memorable ways.
